I am not for canning montage songs: Bharathiraja
He was stressed the need for showing lip movements of actors and actresses for every song in a film
Noted filmmaker Bharathiraja stressed the need for showing lip movements of actors and actresses for every song in a film. Speaking at the promo of Vil Ambu, which is produced by ace filmmaker Suseendhran, the veteran director said, “Normally, I stay away from filmy functions these days, but this one is special. Suseendhran convinced me and made me act in his previous film in a key role. Everything about Vil Ambu, including music and lyrics is good, but most of the songs I watched were montage numbers. I am strongly against this. Every artiste should move their lips according to the songs they perform. This will not only enhance their acting and expressions, but is also a sign of respect to the lyricist who penned those lines.”
The movie, directed by Susee’s friend Ramesh Subramaniam, has Harish, Sree, Srushti Dange and Samskruthi in the lead characters. Naveen has composed the songs.
