Eight more dead in Telangana

While four deaths were reported from Adilabad district, there were three deaths in Mahbubagar and one in Karimnagar

Hyderabad: Eight more persons died on Sunday in Telangana due to gudumba (illicit liquor) withdrawal symptoms. While four deaths were reported from Adilabad district, there were three deaths in Mahbubagar and one in Karimnagar district.

In Mahbubnagar district, 32-year old Shekar Reddy, a resident of Boorgupally village, 46-year old Shanthamma, a resident of Nimmabavigadda in Jadcherla town died due to non-availability of gudumba.

Similarly, 35-year old Kaatravath Lalu Naik of Palakonda village from the same district also died of the same causes. In Adilabad district, four deaths were reported from Nirmal town alone.

75-year old Gundrath Ashanna from Indiranagar, 30-year old Ashok from Gollapeta, 50-year-old Peddagonda Gangadhar from Bangalpeta and 68-year-old Afzal died. Of them, Ashanna commmitted suicide by jumping into a lake due to non-availability of gudumba. Ashok died in hospital while undergoing treatment. In Karimnagar district, 45-year old Gaddam Parsharamulu of Siricilla also died while undergoing treatment in hospital.
