Drones soon on Seshachalam forest

Drones will help the forest and task force men to identify man movement

Tirupati: In an attempt to tighten the noose around the red sander smugglers, the state government is mulling over the introduce of the drones(man free aircraft) to fly over the Seshachalam forest to identify the man movement even in the deep forest which will work round the clock and will monitor by the trained staff at command control room.

The government is mulling over the issue to contain the red sander smuggling in the Seshachalam forest which has been depleted with the sustainable efforts and combing of the task force and forest personals.

Initially they wanted to introduce two to three drones which will fly soon over the forest area after that the government will introduce required number of drones at various places in the forest. For this operation, the forest and police personal being given training to monitor the situation in the forest through LED screens set up in the command and control room. The forest minister Bojjal Gopalakrishna Reddy also confirmed this drone operation by the state government.

‘The government is taking all the measures leaving no stone unturned to curb the red sander smuggling in the Seshachalam forest and drones also would be introduced to find the movement of the men in the forest. The smuggling has been suppressing remarkably with the efforts of the government which was unabated earlier days. Drones will help the forest and task force men to identify man movement in the forest even in the midnight and we have already set up CC cameras in the forest. All these efforts will reduce the risk of the task force men avoiding entering into the forest and searching kilometers long for the smugglers and they can take action easily with well prepared after getting visual information send by the drones’, minister Gopalakrishana Reddy said.

The drones fitted with high quality cameras will surely help the task force and forest staff to easily handle the menace of the smuggling.
