Denying rumours that the release of Rudhramadevi had been postponed yet again, producer and director of the film, Gunasekhar, confirmed that the film would release on October 9, as scheduled.
Apart from Telugu, it will release in Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi on the same day.
A source said that the rumours originated from the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. “At the Film Chamber meeting, they asked Gunasekhar to postpone its release from October to December as there were many big films releasing one week after another. But Gunasekhar’s team told them categorically that they would stick to the announced date.” However, after the meeting, rumours spread that the film would be postponed.
Meanwhile, the makers of Size Zero, starring Anushka, announced that their film too would release on October 9. This fed fuel to the rumours that Rudhramadevi would be postponed as Anushka is the female lead in both the films. In fact, she has asked the Size Zero producers to postpone the film to make way for Rudhramadevi.
