Hyderabad: The Cabinet sub-committee constituted by the Telangana State government to suggest measures for the ensuing BRS/ LRS wants the government to impose a penalty of an additional Rs 300 per sq. feet on commercial buildings which have no parking facilities and use these funds to develop multi-level parking complexes.

“The draft recommendations have been prepared and they will be submitted to the Chief Minister for approval. The prime objective is to ensure that all illegal buildings and layouts that came up till August 31, 2015 are regularised and to see that no illegal building or layout comes up after closure of LRS/BRS. Officials will be held responsible for any illegal building or layout that comes up in their jurisdiction henceforth,” said Mr Srinivas Yadav, who is heading the committee.
