Kurnool: Two students of the Vignan University engineering college drowned in the Bay of Bengal off Suryalanka near Bapatla on Friday. Another two students were missing and a search has launched for them.
Bapatla Rural circle inspector S. Srinivas said 13 students from the mechanical engineering second year batch, had gone to the beach for a picnic. The victims were identified as G. Krishna Prasad, 19, of Guntur district and Madiri Mahesh Reddy, 20, of Nalgonda district.
Alla Lakshmi Srinivas Reddy, 19, and Tirusetty Jaydev, 20, of Guntur were reportedly missing.
