Microsoft opts for Baidu instead of its own Bing browser in China

As China’s President Xi Jinping met Microsoft executives on September 23, they stroke a partnership in order to stay competitive in China. Honouring the deal, Microsoft is planning to launch Baidu as the default search engine in its devices in China, instead of Bing.

Microsoft also settled a deal with China’s leading smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi, under which, the future Mi devices will adopt Windows Azure to provide cloud service to customers.
