Sourav Ganguly accepts a new challenge
CAB treasurer Dey who was also reportedly eyeing the chair said that it was an emotional moment
Kolkata: Former India cricket captain Sourav Ganguly said that he would take the post of the Cricket Association of Bengal as a challenge. “I have worked with CAB officials for the past 14 months. We will speak to all the 121 members and discuss the way forward. I will do whatever I can. Very happy that Dalmiya’s son will also be part of CAB. It’s a big vacuum that I have to fill,” Ganguly said.
CAB treasurer Dey who was also reportedly eyeing the chair said that it was an emotional moment. “It is not even three days that Dalmiya died and to find a solution (so soon) is a good way forward,” he said. Avishek Dalmiya’s inclusion came as a surprise as usually people spending a considerable time in clubs or districts were usually handed the role of an executive in the CAB.
