KSCDC chairman threatens disclosure
He would hold a meeting of the director board and apprise it of the current situation
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Mr R. Chandrasekharan, INTUC state president and chairman of Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation, which is facing a CBI probe into the financial irregularities, will submit his resignation to Industries Minister P. K. Kunhalikutty on Friday. In fact, he had resigned four months ago, but the minister did not accept his resignation, he told DC.
He would hold a meeting of the director board and apprise it of the current situation. Apart from four central trade union members – K. Thulaseedharan, V. Sathyasheelan, P. Prakash Babu and A. Fasaludheen Haque-- there are two additional secretaries, K. Babu (finance) and A. Santhosh (industries), and political nominees K. V. Mohammed Kunji (Muslim League), K. H. M. Ismail (Muslim League) and M. Bhaskaran (Kollam DCC general secretary), on the board.
“I will either put in my papers on Friday evening or next morning to the industries minister. In fact, I had handed over my resignation to him four months back which he did not accept. The media has been reporting that K. E. Retheesh, KSCDC MD, is my brother-in-law which is an ‘imagination’ of Kadakampally Manoj. I will reveal more details at a news conference on Friday,” said Mr. Chandrasekharan.
His association with Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala goes back to 1978 when he joined the Congress as Sooranad north mandalam president.
