1,000 CCTVs to monitor immersion

Four control rooms have been set up
Hyderabad: Over 1,000 CCTV cameras, additional 25,000 police force from Karnataka and Chhattisgarh will keep an eye on the immersion procession of Ganesh idols on September 27 and 28.
Officials from the 16 government departments and the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi members met on Thursday to discuss the arrangements.
R. Shashidhar, general secretary of the Utsav Samithi said, “This year, there is an increase of 20,000 ganesh idols. 60 cranes will be employed to complete the immersion within 48 hours.”
Four control rooms have been set up. The electricity department have arranged central lighting system for 48 hours.
