A CBI deputy superintendent in the Vyapam probe team was, meanwhile, found unconscious at Jhansi railway station Thursday, trigerring a scare. The CBI said that he was rushed to hospital, and denied any foul play.
The CBI officer’s health condition set off a scare as over 35 mysterious deaths have taken place linked to the scam. The speculation was put to rest with the CBI saying that he had suffered brain haemorrhage.
“The CBI officer was posted in Delhi, and sent to Madhya Pradesh to support the Vyapam searches. He reportedly had a brain haemorrhage on the way and did not reach the destination. He was rushed to the nearest hospital where he is under treatment”, the CBI spokesperson said.
