Indrajith in Rajesh Pillai’s Vettah
Rajesh Pillai, who had made an excellent re-entry in 2011 with his trendsetter Traffic, has announced his next directorial venture Vettah. It was through his Facebook post did he declare that his next film — a thriller — on Arunlal Ramachandran’s script has Kunchako Boban and Manju Warrier cast as the lead. The latest buzz is that Indrajith Sukumaran has joined the league.
Confirming the news, the director says: “Kunchako, Manju and Indrajith are playing equally important roles. It is an out-and-out psycho-thriller. The casting for the film, which will start rolling by October second week in Kochi, is almost completed,” says Rajesh, who is also stepping to production with Vettah.
This is Indrajith’s first association with Rajesh, and Kunchako’s third movie with the director. Earlier, it was said that Jayasurya had a prominent role in Vettah.
The film, jointly produced by Rajesh Pillai and A.V. Anoop, has an ensemble cast, including Bhama, Vijayaraghavan, Deepak Parambol, Prem Prakash, Mithun Ramesh, Rony David and Baby Nandha.
Anishlal, who cranked camera for the director’s earlier flicks Mili and Traffic (Hindi) has been roped in as the cinematographer. The background score of Vettah is done by Shaan Rahman.
