After his horror comedy Aranmanai’s huge success, Sundar C is all geared up with its sequel Aranmanai 2 that has Siddharth, Hansika, Trisha, Soori, and Poonam Bajwa in the lead and is produced by his wife Khushboo Sundar. The film is in the final lap of its shoot, and for the crucial climax song featuring all the stars and thousands of dancers and junior artistes, the makers have erected Asia’s biggest ‘Amman’ statue, which is 103 feet tall. Reportedly, the new feat will soon enter Limca Book of Records.
Art director Gururaj who is behind this masterpiece says, “Initially we thought we would create the Amman statue taking visual effects team’s help. But later to retain the authenticity of the scene, we considered mounting a real statue. We used plaster of Paris, skeletons and few other materials to create the statue that took forty days to finish the work. During the period, we followed all norms religiously and kept viratham akin to sculptors who make statues of gods and goddesses and completed the task.”
Heaping praises on music composer Hip Hop Adhi, choreographer Shobi who is in charge of the high octane number said, “Adhi has composed the perfect song for the climax. I have choreographed several festival songs and temple numbers in the past. But this one before the mammoth statue is a new experience for me.”
