Pebble Technology revealed the first look of its new smartwatch - Pebble Time Round. This smartwatch offers two band sizes and three finishes and is priced at $249 on Pebble.com (shipping worldwide), Best Buy, Target, and Amazon.
Pebble Time Round's quick-release watchband mechanism lets users swap bands in seconds. At 7.5mm thin and weighing just 28 grams, Pebble Time Round features a quick-charging battery that lasts up to two days on a single charge. Charging for 15 minutes is enough to achieve a day of battery life. Like Pebble Time and Pebble Time Steel, Pebble Time Round touts an always-on, easy-to-read, color e-paper display.
The newly launched Pebble Time Round smartwatch works with Android and iOS handsets. It also includes Pebble’s popular timeline interface putting past, present, and future activities within a discreet glance of the wrist.
Additionally, Pebble has released an SDK, enabling developers and partners to bring new and existing Pebble Time apps to the Pebble Time Round screen. This will equip custom watchfaces and apps such as ESPN, The Weather Channel, Misfit, Uber, and Swarm by Foursquare to function seamlessly on the new display and will also facilitate the continued development of future apps and smartwatch experiences.
