Telangana Assembly pays tributes to Kalam, Kishta Reddy

Soon after the House commenced, KCR moved the condolence motion
Hyderabad: The Telangana Assembly on Wednesday urged the Centre to name the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) in Hyderabad after late President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
On the first day of the Monsoon Session, the House paid rich tributes to Dr Kalam who passed away recently. Soon after the House commenced, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao moved the condolence motion, which was supported by all the parties, hailing Kalam’s services.
Mr Chandrasekhar Rao recalled that he had requested the Prime Minister to name DRDL after Kalam since he had worked on vital defence-related projects for about a decade. The House also condoled the death of MLA Kishta Reddy who was chairman of the PAC
