Congress SMSes for Andhra Pradesh special tag

Raghuveera faces embarrassing questions
Visakhapatnam: PCC chief N. Raghuveera Reddy and former ministers on Wednesday launched a campaign to send one crore SMSes to Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Union ministers from the state demanding special category status to AP.
He launched the campaign at the Andhra University’s jubilee guest house along with the members of the NSUI and Youth Congress. There were also some students at the launch who had put some embarrassing questions to the PCC chief during an interaction.
“BJP has been cheating the people of Andhra Pradesh by not granting the special status where as TD remained silent over the issue. The same BJP leaders while in the opposition had demanded special category status to AP for 10 years but after coming to power, the ruling party has been dodging the issue which is nothing but deceiving Andhra people. The ruling party in the state, TD, is also not pressurising the Centre on the special category status due to obvious reasons,” said Mr Raghuveer Reddy.
He shared the phone numbers of the Chief Minister N. Chandra-babu Naidu, union ministers P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju, M. Venkaiah Nai-du, Nirmala Sitaraman and Sujana Chowdhary and asked the students to send them SMS.
Some students asked some inconvenient questions to the PCC chief citing the party responsible for the state bifurcation and the present mess in the state. A student said that the Congress-led UPA had divided the state in an undemocratic manner by shutting the doors of the Lok Sabha and passing the bill.
