Bihar polls: Sons-in-law, denied tickets, flex muscles
Patna: As the state surges ahead towards poll battle, a bizarre kind of revolt has started giving sleepless nights to star politicians of Bihar. It’s not just ticket aspirants who are defying their leaders but this time sons-in-law of veteran politicians have started flexing muscles following denial of tickets to them.
Sons-in-law of three prominent leaders of the state have come out in the open announcing publicly to defeat their fathers-in-law in the upcoming
Assembly elections in Bihar.
Anil Sadhu after he was refused ticket by his father-in-law Ram Vilas Paswan came out with a story of mental torture terming Mr Paswan as “Dhritrastra and arrogant”.
Similar situation has erupted in Lalu Yadav’s camp as well. His youngest son-in-law Tej Pratap Yadav has refused to campaign for him after Samajwadi Party snapped ties with Nitish Kumar-led grand secular alliance in Bihar.
Though there is silence in Jitan Ram Manjhi’s camp, sources informed that his son-in-law Devendra Manjhi is preparing to contest from Gaya. He couldn’t get ticket from HAM as the party did not get desired number of seats.
