Karur: Marumalarchi DMK general secretary Vaiko is destroying the party, according to Bharani Mani, former Karur district MDMK secretary who was expelled from the party.
Mr Mani told newsmen here on Tuesday, that he was with Mr Vaiko since the party’s inception and had served as party audit committee member, and from 2006 to 2011, was deputy chairman of the K Paramathi union.
He said that Mr Vaiko always refused to hear the suggestions made by party cadres to develop the party’s base. He said that there was no place for loyalists in the party. No reason was given for his expulsion.
So far 8 district secretaries of the MDMK had left for the DMK (Thai Kazhagam), he said.
I will consult my followers and take a decision on my future stand in politics, Mr Mani added.
