Hyderabad: The school starts at 8.30 am, but the four students came 10 minutes late, at 8.40 am. For this, Mr Ramesh, the PET teacher, thrashed them severely on their legs and hands with a stick.
Parents alleged that Shashidhar suffered a fracture on his right hand while both of Karthi’s hands were injured. Imran and Jagdeesh suffered injuries on their thighs. Saroornagar MEO Venkataiah lodged a complaint with the police against the physical education teacher and the school management.
During investigation, the police found that Shashidhar had fractured his hand two days ago and he was wearing a bandage on his right hand. Mr Ramesh hit him on the same hand, injuring his thumb.
"His right thumb was injured and swelled. No blood injuries were found other than the swelling," said Meerpet Inspector Biksham Reddy. The injured students were sent for a medical examination. "Once the medical report comes, we can establish the exact reason of the injury," added the Inspector. A case under Section 324 of IPC has been registered and is being investigated.
