A job racket which promised youth jobs abroad was busted by the police
Hyderabad: A job racket which promised youth jobs abroad was busted by the police on Tuesday. The gang lured candidates by promising them jobs in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Brunei. Police arrested two members of the gang. One man is absconding. A computer, 19 passports and two phones were seized from the accused.
The prime accused Mohammad Abdul Gafoor set up a gang with his nephew Syed Mukram and Shakeel Shaik. Gafoor introduced himself as an agent providing jobs for youth in Gulf countries. After gaining the confidence of youths Gafoor used to introduce them to Mukram. He collects passports of the candidates and the money meant to be paid as visa charges. Mukram sends the passports to Shakeel.
“Shakeel sends fabricated visas to Mukram and he used to sent it by email to his clients,” said Sultan Bazaar ACP Ravula Giridhar. Police found the gang had cheated 29 candidates and had collected Rs 11,20,000 from them. The accused were produced before court. A hunt is on to nab Shakeel.
