Randeep Hooda, Richa Chadha go bold at trailer launch of 'Main aur Charles'
The two revealed that they spent a lot of time together to get comfortable
Mumbai: Actress Richa Chadha, known for intense roles in films like Gangs of Wasseypur and "Masaan", says she is awaiting movie offers, which give her a chance to play "candy floss, bubbly" characters.
Richa, 28, will be next seen in thriller drama "Main Aur Charles", which is inspired by the notorious case of celebrity prisoner, Charles Sobhraj. "I am waiting for someone to do a film with me having a) bubbly candyfloss (role) because I have done a lot of intense films. So to do it in 'Main Aur Charles' was not difficult. My character is very entertaining in the film, there are a lot of shades to my role," Richa told reporters here at the upcoming film's trailer launch.
The movie, directed by Prawal Raman ('Darna Mana Hai'), also stars Randeep Hooda as Sobhraj. "It was one of the most interesting roles I have played. I did no preparation because our director was precise of what he wanted. We had a blast doing this film," the actress said.
When asked Richa if it difficult to slip into this bold character, she instantly replied, "Define bold. Is it the bedsheet scene? If you talking about the dialogue, then who wouldn't want to? (have sex with Randeep Hooda)." As a visibly embarrassed Randeep blushed, director Prawaal Raman quickly corrected, “You mean Charles, right?
Richa said, "The character that Randeep plays has the power to allure both men and women. You would want to be with him, spend time with him and in that sense it was an interesting character to play. It wasn't difficult for me to get into the character and rather I had a blast shooting for the film." Randeep added, "But we did spend lot of time together to get comfortable."
Richa is basking in the glory of "Maasan" and she hopes her next release too would have a good run at the box office. "There is a lot of expectation and I am sure this film will do well. It is good and everyone has worked really hard on this film, they have worked very patiently on this film. We all are very happy that finally we are bringing this story to everyone."
Also starring Adil Hussain, Tisca Chopra, "Main Aur Charles" is set to release on October 30.
