Bollywood superstar Kajol, who is all set to make a comeback with Dilwale, will attend the United Nations General Assembly and Global Citizen Festival in New York next week, where she will advocate the importance of a hygienic environment. Kajol, who specifically joined Twitter to promote social causes that she believes in, decided to announce about it on the micro blogging site. Kajol wrote, “Excited to announce I’ll be at @UN General Assembly & #GlobalCitizen Festival next week supporting the #hygiene cause in the #GlobalGoals !!”
The award-winning actress will also be a part of the General Assembly. Moreover, she will attend the musical fest on September 26 that features Beyonce, Pearl Jam and Coldplay.
Global Citizen Festival, which marks the launch of an ambitious set of global development goals, is a highlight of the annual gathering of world leaders at the United Nations. Celebrities including Leonardo DiCaprio, Bono, Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai and Bill and Melinda Gates will also be a part of the initiative. Kajol participated in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) summit last year as well.
