Auditions for character roles in Dangal have been on in Ludhiana and from what we hear, Aamir Khan, being the perfectionist that he is, is paying personal attention to that as well. A source in the know says, “The team held auditions for local actors for various roles including those of wrestlers over the weekend and the turn-out was much more than expected. While the team has been going through the huge list of aspirants and short-listing actors, Aamir has been personally looking into the short-listed ones and offering his take on them.”
The basic requirement is that all actors look robust and ‘Haryanvi’ and are fluent with the language. Around 100 locals are expected to be cast in the film in various roles. Trust Aamir to pay attention to details.
