Some passengers said that transgenders allegedly pushed the victim

Visakhapatnam: A 45-year-old man fell to his death from the Vivek Express, while the train was speeding along near Nuapada in Tekkali of Srikakulam district on Monday.

Some passengers said that transgenders allegedly pushed the victim, identified as Poornachandra Sahu, hailing from Nayagarh of Odisha from the train and thrashed another passenger for refusing to give them money.

Government Railway Police, Vizag Range, inspector Y. Murali Rao said that no complaint was received from the co-passengers. He said that a case under Section 174 of the CrPC Sahu, a daily wage earner, had boarded the general coach of the Mangaluru-Santragachi express along with four others.

According to reports, Sahu, who was seated near the door was pushed the eunuchs after he refused to give them money. Following the incident, passengers pulled the chain and stopped the train. Investigation is on.
