Nellore: Indian Institute of Travel and Tourism Management (IITTM) has been gearing up to establish tourism clubs in junior and degree colleges to create awareness about tourism, to make students to become responsible guests as well as hosts.
The clubs will be formed in select junior and degree colleges initially and they will be expanded to other institutes gradually.
"Our objective is to inculcate the manners among the youth on how one should beha-ve with outsiders," said Mr A. Vinodan, Nellore coordinator.
He said that they are gearing up to organise national-level competitions in five events in-cluding essay writing, quiz, debate, best manager and short films to the students pursuing graduation and PG courses in southern states on World Tourism Day scheduled for September 27.
