Hyderabad: The Telangana government has reportedly sent a list of names of five senior IPS officials for empanelment for the post of the Director-General of Police.
The list includes Ms Aruna Bahuguna (1979 batch), Mr A.K. Khan and Mr Durga Prasad (1981), Mr Anurag Sharma (1982) and Tejdeep Kaur Menon (1983). All officers are of the DGP rank.
Mr Sharma, who has been empanelled, is officiating as incharge DGP of Telangana state. In a practice approved by the SC, the UPSC sends back a shortlist of names from which the state will select the DGP.
