Register FIRs, insists Congress
Rajahmundry: Congress leaders on Monday demanded the Superintendent of Police M. Ravi Prakash to take steps for filing FIRs against the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union minister M. Venkaiah Naidu.
The Congress workers led by the District Congress Committee (DCC) president Kandula Durgesh submitted a memorandum to the SP, stated that the three leaders made promises for according special status to Andhra Pradesh during the elections and after assuming the power, they cheated the people by not fulfilling their promises.
Because of them, many of the persons lost their lives due to the cause.
Durgesh also expressed concern over the inaction of the police in the district for not filing FIRs.
He said that the Congress workers lodged a complaint with many of police stations regarding the issue with evidences, however, they did not register the cases.
The SP, Ravi Prakash said that he would act as per law.
PCC secretary Kamana Prabhakara Rao, PCC member Pantham Nan-aji, City Congress president Kampara Ramesh and others were present.
