B.Tech student develops app on placement study
Warangal: P. Vamshi a B.Tech 3rd year student at Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Warangal, designed and developed a mobile app and named it ‘Tech.Com App.’ It was launched by chief guest Dr S. Ramachandram and vice-president of the EES Warangal K. Mohan Rao at a Faculty Develop Programme conducted in the college on Monday.
The app was built under the supervision of Dr P. Niranjan Reddy, Professor and head of the CSE department and B. Raju, assistant professor of the CSE department. It was developed by using Android OS and without the help of any back-end data base support. Its size is just 2MB and version of Android supported is 4.0 and higher.
“This app helps to gain knowledge to undergo placement process very easily as it facilitates different computer science core subjects. It is a self-explanatory app where a user can select any subject and the audio of the subject is played by a single touch,” said student Vamshi.
Director of KITS, K. Manohar said that the FDP provides a platform to learn various tools, techniques and applications in big data analytics and cloud computing. He also congratulated the CSE department HoD Dr P. Niranjan Reddy. The department of CSE said that there were 144 faculty members participating in this programme. Principal Prof. K. Guru Raj, Dr P. Suresh Kumar and B. Sridharamurthy, co-ordinators, faculty and staff, PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary were present.
