BJP to campaign on Central schemes

BJP noticed that the schemes are being used by states

Khammam: The Bharatiya Janata Party is planning to take up a rigorous campaign over NDA government’s welfare schemes among poor to achieve two targets in Telangana.

The BJP noticed that the Modi’s schemes are being used by the state governments and milea-ge is not coming to the Modi government. The party cadre was asked to campaign the schemes among the targeted people. Narendra Modi introduced various welfare programmes to the poor like Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (accident insurance), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana (life insurance) and Atal Pension Yojana small deposit scheme for girl child, as part of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, which would fetch an interest rate of 9.1 per cent and provide income tax rebate. Firstly, the BJP wants to reach the schemes to the targeted people and these schemes are introduced by the NDA government.

BJP Spokesperson B. Sankar Reddy said that all these schemes are very important to uplift the poor. “We want to create awareness among the poor on these schemes,” he said. Citing the Sukanya Samridhi Account, he said that the government is paying highest interest rate to the scheme to save the girl child. He said that Mudra Bank is very important to uplift the amateur entrepreneurs among scheduled castes and tribes.

Recently, the NDA government announced Mudra Bank to provide low cost funding for micro finance institutes and priority will be given scheduled castes and tribes in lending.

Referring to the Bhoomiheen scheme, BJP district president K. Sridhar Reddy said that the scheme introduced by the Modi government to make access the lease farmers to the bank loans. The banks were asked to issue Bhoomi-heen Kisan cards to these leased farmers who have been facing hardships due to non-availability of the bank loans.

Sukanya Samridhi Account can be opened at any time from the birth of a girl child till she attains the age of 10 years, with a minimum deposit of '1,000. A maximum of '1.5 lakh can be deposited.
