Hyderabad: MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi said on Monday that the statement of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat with regard to reservations had exposed the true face of the Modi government.
Mr Bhagwat on Sunday had suggested constitution of an apolitical committee to review the reservation policy. He contended that the reservations had been used for political ends. While interacting with mediapersons at Darussalam, Mr Owaisi said: “The true face of this government is slowly coming out, that they want Hindu consolidation to ensure that OBC and other reservations come down.”
Maintaining that scrapping of reservation for OBCs was not that easy, he said, “It is a convenient view of saying that reservations should to discontinued for the OBC…why is the Modi government not releasing the caste census? I am challenging it to release the census, and the whole world will come to know what is the reality, and then the OBCs will decide.”
He added, “The true face of this government is slowly coming out… We want know why is the Centre opposing promotions of Dalits in government employment and why are they fighting this case in SC as a policy? We would like to know what is the opinion of this government.”
Najma sees Owaisi as Jinnah in the making:

She told a party meeting here on Monday that Mr Owaisi was indul-ging in divisive politics and dividing India and he must be checked. She attacked the Congress for neglecting Muslims resulting in their continued backwardness.
