Model Rebekah Marine turned heads at the New York Fashion week earlier this week, but not just because of her ensemble. The model was the first to walk the ramp with a bionic arm and she did so for Indian designer Archana Kochhar.
The 28 year old model, who was born without a right forearm, is fitted with an advanced prosthetic arm that is operated by her muscle movements. Rebekah, who according to reports calls herself the ‘Bionic Model’ didn’t have it easy. The model was quoted saying that she had to face years of rejection before the fashion world noticed her.
