The Malayalam hit film Premam is being remade in Telugu with Naga Chaitanya as the lead. Two of the three female leads have been confirmed and the makers are looking for the third. Initially, Parineeti Chopra had been approached but she could not give dates.
Now, according to a source, the makers are all set to approach Shruti Haasan. “It is not yet confirmed, but the makers are approaching Shruti to play the key role in this film,” says a source.
Chandu Mondeti of Karthikeya fame is directing this film that will be launched soon as the makers want to complete it by January.
Anupama E. Parameswara, who acted in the original Malayalam film, is also acting in this remake, which will be her Telugu debut.
