Kamal Haasan launches probe into airport attack on Sivakarthikeyan

Mumbai: On Monday morning a video of actor Sivakarthikeyan getting mobbed at Madurai airport by a number of fans went viral on the internet. The incident happened on Sunday when the actor was on his way to attend a private event, he was mobbed by a few unknown people while exiting the airport.

Rumour has it that the attackers were fans of south star Kamal Haasan, and the reason behind the assault was a comment allegedly made by Sivakarthikeyan about Haasan’s eldest daughter Shruti Haasan.

But, it is still unknown whether him getting attacked is a mere speculation. Later, the star attended the event which had the presence of Kamal Haasan and Hansika too.

Sivakarthikeyan later took to twitter to tweet about the incident. He posted, “Wit all ur Blessings Im Perfectly alright. Tnx 2 all d Luvly hearts 4 ur Greatest Support at Tis Moment. Ur Luv makes me Stronger. Luv U All.” (sic)

According to reports Kamal has launched an enquiry into the incident. There is no bad blood between the two actors, and they were even reported to be cordial with each other during the event. The actor is strictly against any act of violence, and wants to find out if the attackers were his fans.

The incident has occurred at a time when Shruti has been approached by director Bhagyaraj Kannan for his next movie, in which Sivakarthikeyan plays the lead.
