Hyderabad: A two-year-old child died as a TV set fell on her head at her house in Suryapet of Nalgonda district Sunday. G. Pallavi was playing near the TV stand, when it fell on her, crushing her head against the floor. Though she was taken to a hospital, it did not help.
“Pallavi was moving about the room on her small bicycle. The cycle might have hit the TV stand, resulting in the mishap. It was a 22inch old model TV,” said a police officer from Suryapet.
Hearing the child’s scream, the mother rushed to the room and saw the girl struggling under the broken TV set. She took help from neighbours and rushed the child to a hospital.
The doctors found that the injury on her head was so grievous. Police said they started an investigation following a plea from the relatives.
