Aamir Khan starts shooting for 'Dangal', shares film's first poster

The film’s Punjab schedule shoot will reportedly go on for more than two months

Mumbai: After finishing up with the preparations for the character that he plays in director Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming biopic ‘Dangal’, Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan started with the film’s shooting in Punjab today.

Aamir, who has so far kept all the information about ‘Dangal’ well hidden, shared something with his fans about the film for the very first time. Yes, Aamir Khan took to his official Twitter account yesterday and tweeted a picture of a muddy akhada.


As revealed earlier by the star, the film's team started with the shooting today. Aamir took to his Twitter again to update his fans about the news. This time the actor shared a very creative and unique picture of himself. The picture happens to be film's first ever poster.


Before starting with film’s shooting, Aamir Khan reached Amritsar a day in advance to visit the iconic Golden Temple. The film’s team will be shooting a good chunk in the parts of Punjab. The film’s Punjab schedule shoot will reportedly go on for more than two months.

Aamir plays the lead in Nitesh Tiwari’s 'Dangal', which is a biopic on legendary wrestler Mahavir Phogat, the father of Indian women wrestlers Geeta and Babita Kumari Phogat. Actress Sakshi Tanwar will play Aamir’s wife in the film. ‘Dangal’ also stars Rajkumar Rao and Gautam Gulati. The film is said to release by the end of 2016.
