After the tunneling is complete at Kavadiguda, the drain will enter the Hussainsagar surplus drain

Hyderabad: Work on the underground tunnel to divert the Kukatpally drain has started near the Marriott Hotel.
Once the connection is complete, effluents from the lake’s most polluted canal will be diverted from Hussainsagar.
After the tunneling is complete at Kavadiguda, the drain will enter the Hussainsagar surplus drain and the waste will flow through Ashok-nagar, Baghlingampally and Vidhyanagar, and finally enter the Amberpet sewerage treatment plant.
