Hyderabad: Hyderabad police commissioner Mahender Reddy on Saturday launched seven vehicle-mount cameras so as to strengthen police surveillance in the city.
These are to be used, to start with, during the Ganesh immersion period. Each vehicle with three inbuilt cameras can capture a 360 degree view of the surroundings and store data for 15 days.
They will be directly connected to the Command Control Room, which is set up at Tank Bund. “We shall procure such cameras for altogether 120 vehicles. This will enhance police performance,” the commissioner said
