Heavy rain warning in Telangana for 24 hours

Hyderabad: Many areas in the city witnessed heavy rain late at night on Friday even as the IMD said more than 50 per cent of the weather stations in the state recorded rainfall. The IMD has continued the heavy rainfall warning for Telangana for 24 hours.
The IMD forecast rain at isolated places in Adilabad, Nizamabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam and Medak districts. Adilabad recorded the maximum rainfall of eight cm followed by Yellandu and Tekulapally mandals of Khammam district, seven cm, Ulurupadu mandal of Khammam district and Boath of Adilabad district at six cm.
In AP, Mandasa and Palasa mandals of Srikakulam district, and Allagadda of Kurnool district recorded three cm of rainfall each. The heavy rainfall warning for AP has been withdrawn. As per the IMD forecast, the deep depression over Vidarbha and neighbourhood has weakened into a depression. A low pressure area has formed over the north Andaman Sea and east central Bay Of Bengal.
