Hospital authorities suspended the accused and have instituted an inquiry

Bardhaman: A 25-year-old woman was allegedly molested by a housekeeping staff at the Bardhaman Medical College Hospital , a hospital official said on Saturday.
The married woman was hospitalised on Friday with acute stomach pain. Hospital Superintendent-cum-Vice Principal Utpal Dawn said that she was allegedly molested later in the night by a staffer, who has been identified as one Abhiskek Anand.
The staffer had taken the woman to a cabin at the hospital and it was her screams as she was molested which drew people to her rescue even as the alleged molester fled the scene, said Dawn.
The father of the victim lodged a complaint this morning with hospital authorities, who have thereupon instituted an inquiry and suspended the accused staffer.
