Aamir Khan who has beefed up for his role of a wrestler in Nitish Tiwari’s Dangal, is having respiratory problems due to the drastic physical alteration. To look the part in wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat’s biopic, Aamir has put on 35 kilos — a move that took a toll on the actor’s health.
A source on the sets from Ludhiana, where the actor is currently shooting a schedule of the film said, “Breathing problem is one thing, but he is also finding it difficult to move his muscles. His movements have slowed down and he is finding it difficult to get up after being seated for a long time.”
Aamir currently weighs 95 kilos and will have to maintain it for some time. The source says, “He has to maintain this for a month at least. After a month, he has three more months to lose all the weight to get in shape for playing a younger Mahavir. Such drastic changes are not medically advisable, but Aamir has little choice. He will do what it takes to make the character seem real.”
