Switching to iPhone? Apple has an Android app for you
If you are one of those who are falling for the speedy and elegant iPhone flagships, Apple has just made is easier for you to transfer your entire data to the new iPhone. Apple has introduced an app called ‘Move to iOS’ in the Google Play Store. The new app will help you easily and seamlessly transfer all your data to the new iPhone in just a few clicks. Be it your contacts, messages, bookmarks, photos or your Google account, you can now transfer all these over the wireless network, without the need of iTunes in between.
Simply download the app on both the new iPhone and your old Android and connect them via the temporary hotspot that the Move to iOS app creates. Authorize the two smartphones with each other and select all the data you need to jump over to the new device.
When you choose to migrate your data, your new iPhone or iPad will create a private Wi-Fi network and find your nearby Android device running Move to iOS. After you enter a security code, it will begin transferring your content and put it in the right places. Just like that. Once your content has been transferred, you’re ready to get going. iOS will also set up your default mail account. That’s it — you can start using your new iPhone or iPad immediately. The app is compatible with Android 4.0 (phone or tablet) and above.
