Mysuru: Ganesha idols have always been known to keep up with the times. If there is any person or news of great significance, chances are that Ganesha will adorn that avatar in the next year.
Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Beti Bachao Selfie Banao’-Selfie with daughter campaign, City based CAVA artiste, 42 year old Revanna has created a miniature of Mr Modi taking a selfie with Ganesha.
He has created miniature idols of Lord Ganesha with atleast ten such unique concepts especially for Ganesh Chathurthi this year.
Among his other creations are that of Ganesha blessing the titular Maharaja of Mysuru, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar during his coronation, Ganesha painting the portrait of former President Dr APJ Kalam and Bahubali lifting Lord Ganesha, which has been inspired by the hit film. All the idols have been made of clay with a touch of fluorescent free natural colours free from lead and water friendly chromite.
“While I was busy creating Idols, I sat with the concepts at 11 pm in the night till 2 am,” he says. The idols are being kept as a surprise even to his own family members.
