Sudheeran criticises Yogam over RSS ties
KOLLAM: Coming down heavily on the SNDP, KPCC president V.M. Sudheeran said on Tuesday that the Yogam was surrendering the ideology of Sree Narayana Guru before the Sangh Parivar. “Both the ideologies don’t go together,” he said addressing a meeting after inaugurating the DCC fund collection campaign at Karunagappally.
“Ignoring the Guru’s message, the SNDP has turned to be the guardians of the Sangh Parivar. The ideologies of Sangh Parivar and that of the SNDP are not even distantly related,” he said. The relationship between the SNDP and the RSS should be watched seriously, he said.
“The Sangh Parivar stands for only one religion while the Guru had urged to maintain brotherhood between all the religions. How can these two thoughts go together,” Mr. Sudheeran asked. The RSS was trying to grow its roots in this land with the help of SNDP, he said.
The SNDP should move forward by understanding the preaching of the Guru. “It is not right for the SNDP to implement the politics of Sangh Parivar and the agenda of RSS,” he said.
CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan had the other day blamed SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally for its tie-up with the Sangh Parivar. “Vellappally Natesan need not try to threaten CPM showing its association with the RSS. It is better if the SNDP abstains from implementing the RSS agenda. Anyone who believes in the teachings of the Guru will not stand the move to implement such an agenda,” he said. “CPM is not against the SNDP, but will resist the move to implement what is opposite to the teachings of the Guru,” he said.
