New Delhi: The government is expected to hand over the probe of all these cases to the NIA, which deals with terror cases. However, a final call on handing over cases to the NIA or allow the state police to probe will be taken after the MHA takes a view.
These Indians are not yet involved in any terror activities but were in regular touch with two persons who were in the Gulf and had joined the IS, sources said.
One of them — a Bangladeshi — has already died while fighting for the IS, while the whereabouts of the other — an Indian — are not known, sources said. They were being jointly interrogated by Central, state security agencies.
