Popular actress Gautami has been roped in as the judge for the second edition of Ugram Ujjwalam, a reality show on Mazhavil Manorama that provides a platform for extraordinary talents. It is for the first time that the actress, who had earlier enthralled the Malayali audience with her amazing performance in movies such as His Highness Abdullah and Dhruvam, appears as a reality show judge in Malayalam. The second edition has just gone on air and is receiving good responses. “Coming to Kerala is like second homecoming for me. And I am quite excited to be a part of this show,” she said. Actors Kaniha and Vineeth are co-judges in the show.
Not just the judging panel, the entire show has also undergone changes. According to the makers, Ugram Ujjwalam Season 2 is entirely different from the previous season. It has got a new stylish set and has introduced some new rounds.
If the first edition had featured some extraordinary talents within the country, the new edition will have contestants from abroad as well. The presence of Guinness Book of World Record holders will tighten the competition.
Mind-blowing performances by Avul Hasaan’s team from Bangladesh, labourers and daily workers from Jharkhand and acrobatic, salsa and malkam dancers Padmini and Devashish from Orissa are a few highlights of the second season of Ugram Ujjwalam. Also the show has introduced a new title Athyugram Athyujjwalam for the best performer. Last year Manoj Mahadevan and Bindhu Manoj, the karate family from Kozhikode emerged the winner. The one-hour show is telecast from Monday to Thursday at 8 pm.
