Nivin Pauly to play political leader
For Nivin Pauly, who is famous for his onscreen romantic hero roles, it is the time to try out different characters. The actor who has shown courage to essay the role of a father of a schoolgoing kid in Abrid Shine’s debut film 1983, is now donning the role of a police officer in Action Hero Biju. The latest news is that the actor has now signed a project in which he will portray the role of a politician. It is in the yet to be titled film of award-winning director Sidharth Siva, that Nivin will don khadi.
“He has been cast as the leader of a youth wing of a political party. He is a politician based in Kottayam district. Further details of his character cannot be revealed now,” says a source close to the film.
The film which is being produced by B Rakesh for Universal Cinemas will start rolling in October. Jomon T John is touted as the cinematographer of this film which has Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam as major locations.
