The duo has acted together in a lot of films, most often as foes. After teaming up for Pakida and Vellimoonga, Biju Menon and Asif Ali will be coming together for a film to be produced by August Cinemas. Titled Anuraga Karrikin Vellam, the film will see Biju and Asif in the role of a father and son; yes you heard right! Asif will be playing Biju Menon’s son while Asif’s mother and Biju Menon’s wife would be played by Asha Sharath. Confirming this, Shaji Nateshan of August Cinemas says, “This would be a family and comedy entertainer with a social message woven in. This film would also have a love story and falls into a genre and script that would be very different.” The film would kickstart by October 15 and the heroine is a newcomer whose name will be announced soon. The project is directed by cameraman Shyju Khalid’s brother Rehman Khalid and scripted by Naveen Bhaskhar.
