Alliance decision only on poll-eve: Vijaykanth
Coimbatore: The DMDK chief Vijaykanth on Monday claimed he had not revealed his alliance strategy even to his wife, Premalatha and that he would make it public it only at the time of the Assembly elections.
“My alliance strategy will remain a secret till the time of the Assembly elections,” the actor-politician said at a public meeting at Codissia centre in Coimbatore. His recent meeting with BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy was “indoor talks”, but the media had put out various “ïmaginary stories.”
With less than a year left for the Assembly elections, the AIADMK government has held the Global Investors Meet and claimed to have brought in investments to the tune of over Rs 2.4 lakh crores. “Can so much investment be brought in just six months?” he asked.
On the recent controversial remarks by the TNCC president E.V.K.S. Elangovan against the Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, he said Elangovan’s statements may have been wrong. But the AIADMK cadres should not have been allowed to burn the effigies of the state Congress chief.
