Job fraud gang busted, four nabbed

The CCS police arrested the gang after raiding their office at Noida

Hyderabad: The CCS police busted a Noida-based gang by arresting four people who used a employment website’s data to defraud 70 people. The gang collected resumes from the website, called victims offering jobs and collected money after sending them fake offer letters.

The arrested people were identified as Mukesh Mishra, 23, Sunil Kumar Gupta, 32, Bhagirath Tyagi, 25 and Sandeep Singh, 27.

“The prime accused Mukesh procured 3,000 resumes from Shine.com for Rs 6,000. He handed it over to his tele callers,” said CCS JCP Dr T. Prabhakar Rao.

"Candidates who showed interest were asked to pay Rs 2,500 for registration. The gang prepared fake offer letters and sent them to the victims by spoofing the mail IDs of reputed firms. They also asked them to deposit Rs 5,600 for the offer letter,” said Mr Rao.

The CCS police arrested the gang after raiding their office at Noida. They were produced before a court in New Delhi and brought to Hyderabad.
