World Bank state rating: Andhra Pradesh 2, Telangana at 13

The World Bank ranking is based on detailed assessment of various parameters

Hyderabad: AP has been ranked number two in the country, after Gujarat, in the World Bank’s “Assessment of State Implementation of Business Reforms”, with a score of 70.12 per cent. Telangana state has been ranked 13, with a 42.45 per cent score. The ranking was based on a assessment on 98 parameters.

In “Setting up of Business,” AP was ranked second after Punjab with a score of 78.57 per cent. The World Bank took note of Telangana State’s new industrial policy.

The rankings prompted AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to give a pat to his officials.
